I think they copied apple(I think apples have the ability to do massive icons)

I like the middle sized ones, just perfect. i'm running 1280x800 and there's 7 icons from top to bottom flanking the left side of the screen and the side bar on the other side.

3.1 > 95 > 98 > ME > XP > Vista

you can change icon size very easily......hold the ctrl and TAB buttons down and turn the scroll wheel on your mouse...
