I am trying to copy a folder from a USB flash pen onto the C Drive of my Vista Ultimate system and i'm getting this error. it is disturbing because when i tried to copy the same files to an external hard drive that i have i got no problems with the copy process.

the system i have is a HP pavillion DV2815NR and i upgraded the system to vista ultimate a week ago. I installed all the drivers from the HP's website that pertain to this model. additionally I activated the PC administrator which is by default deactivated in vista. I thought this would rectify the problem but it have not. I am still getting that error of "Destination Folder Access Denied".

I need help

Since Vista is more secure than XP, it simply won't let you copy files into certain folders anymore. Included in these are the Program Files folders.

Where are you trying to copy these to on C:?

Are you logging in as the default Administrator? Or are you using your own account?
