| | I woke up this morning and turned on my system and received this message after POST: "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device" "or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a Key" I have two hard drives in the system and the BIOS sees them at the moment. No mechanical sounds indicating a drive failure and both drives are spinning at the moment. I tried disconnecting the 2nd drive (D to see if I could boot off of C: without it - no luck. Any idea on what happened here? Any help would be appreciated! |

| Sounds like either your MBR or boot loader got hosed. Insert your Vista DVD, boot from it, and choose startup repair.
