I believe they are going to release Halo 2 for PC at the same time Halo 3 is released for the 360. It makes perfect marketing sense. First they released Halo 2 on the xbox, got all the xbox owners to purchase it, then when Halo 3 comes around MS knows that all the xbox owners will again purchase Halo 3, so they will released Halo 2 for the pc after all the potential market in the console area is gone for Halo 2 and they will see how much more money they can gain from the pc users.

Its the same concept of coming out with a new high priced product. It's priced high to get the target demographic which can afford to pay that much. Then after a while the price is reduced to get the slightly lower income levels. Therefore maximizing sales revenue.

Latest positions are these, Halo 2 for Vista out 25th May, Halo 3 out mid Sept this year for console.

I guess i can understand why. I mean they are boosting graphics quite a lot. Although what I saw on Gamespot is kind of too bad for the X360

Halo 3 is still to be confirmed on it's release date.
Anyways, Halo 2 for pc would be nice but i understand microsoft. They made a console and they need something to be special for it :). Anyways buy an X360 in case NOT a PS3. I have done some research and the X360 uses up it's resources much better than the PS 3 and there is hardly any difference between the graphics. X360 has Live and tons of games for it. X360 has tons of coop games (Gears of War, Halo series, GRAW) whereas PS 3's release shooter is WW2 soldiers fighting aliens( sorry but i fail to see the logic of a thompson versus a laser beam).

That is pretty lame I dont know why it takes so long to port it over to pc. I have a 360 so im looken foward to halo 3. Whens the release date now? Anyone know the exact?

I read yeasterday somewhere that it will not come out until the second quarter of this year...[i]Halo XIV[/i] for the XBox will probably be out before then... :angry:

I think pc gaming is the best. They better release Halo2 at the same time. I wonder if it will work on RC2, i hope so.

I don't know for sure, but I'm really hoping so. I don't have a X360 and I'd really like to play Halo 2. I'll probably end up with a x360 or a PS3 eventually anyway, but I still enjoy PC gaming the most.

Pardon me if this has already been covered, but does anyone know if [i]Halo 2[/i] for the PC is going to be released simultaneously with Vista? Micropoop really screwed their [i]Halo[/i] fans when they refused to make [i]Halo 2[/i] for the PC last year; opting instead to limit it to X-Box so they could sell more consoles :(
