Mappoint Issue in vista

Hi to all ,

My name is talish working as a C# developer. Recently I have faced a strange bug. The mappoint project developed using VS2005 32 bit version was build in xp os. I use the x86 option at the time of build. After this,I transfer only exe and supported dll for mappoint from XP system to Vista(64bit) OS. The Exe successfully switch back to 32 bit mode in Vista and works all other featurs of the project except Mappoint control, when I click button to dispaly mappoint control error prompted "Mappoint failed to load. The cause of this exception is unknown". After this I develop entire project under Vista and the project was build in vista os there is no problem.Please suggest a solution.

CMD window repaired

Thanks for all the replies on my "cmd window closing as soon as it opened" post.
The problems is fixed now and Yes .. it was malware.
I had to run 3 separate utilities to find the malware but once removed ... everything is working correctly now.

I'm having a strange problem with the cmd.exe window. When I open the cmd window it closes as soon as it opens,
not allowing me to enter any commands.

I can run cmd.exe from safe mode and tried running sfc /scannow while in safe mode but this did not fix anything.

Has anyone else run into this problem and does anyone have any suggestions on repairing this?

Well out of no where today the left click stopped working. It says the left click is on cause it shows a green box saying its pressed. i took the buttons off and it seems fine. any ideas?

"Help" file gives error in Office 2007

Can anyone help me resolve this issue. I have searched hi and low and can not even find a reference to it.

When I am in any Office application and click on "Help" the message pops-up " There's a problem with one or more help files. Please repair your Office installation and try again."

I have repaired it from the disk (which are brand new). I have tried repairing it from the program diagnostic tools. I have run Esuing registry repair. All with no results.

I have Widows Vista Ultimate, Duo Core 2.5 6gb processor, 4gb ram, 320 hd with very little on it.

I am frustrated, especially with microsoft who wants mega bucks to support thier product fault.

Whenever my computer comes out of standby it takes forever to come back up.....I have tried to reformat twice.....this problem started a few weeks ago it never happened before and it continues to happen after I reformat...I am running Vista 32-bit HP Pavilion Entertainment laptop

I have recently been connected to the Internet and can access certain websites but if for example I try to buy something from ebay or look at my yahoo emails it wont let me. Says i'm not connected to the server? I thought it was to do with my security settings but I have adjusted these and still have the same problem! does anybody have any suggestions?

so I recently REBUILT my PC. I put in a p5Q Pro MOBO, 8800gt,4 gig ddr2 800 ram, New 750 watt PSU,and a intel E8400. Im reusing the case,Hardrive and dvd burner.

When i try too install vista OEM 64 on my computer it takes me to the files are loading the i get the little windows corporation and the little bars. It then pops too the bluish green screen where the windows loading options are suppose to pop up. Nothing pops up on this screen. The hourglass shows up that acts like it is thinking the it disapears. and im left with a blushish green screen where i can move my mouse around on and do nothing. No options or windows pop up.

Things ive tried to do too fix it.
-use only 2 gigs of Ram
-play around with bios a little.
-tried about 15 times all same screen.

Now i can load and install windows XP no problem on my system. So i know there cant be anythign wrong. My computer runs fine in windows XP but i bought windows vista OEM so i can go DX10 and for future computer games and such. Any help would be nice thanks =)

explorer blinking unable to type in web addresses

I was wondering if anyone else has this same problem. I have vista sp1 and I have this problem that started about 2 weeks ago. When I look at IE7 I can see it blink every 2 to 3 seconds non stop. When I try to type any web address it will highlight the text blue and when I continue typing it erases the previous text. The problem occurs even with Firefox. I am not sure where else to go for help. This is my first forum stop, I dont know if its a vista problem or something else, but I hope that someone can help steer me in the right direction. :ermm:

Hey Guy's

I am new here, I may have posted in the wrong place.

My problem is, I just bought a new PC with Vist

Home Premium. I have 4 other PC's running XP

on my network. I don't run all them at one time,

normaly just the 2 in the house.

The Vista PC can connect to any of the others, can

send and pull files from them. The XP Pc's can find

the Vista pc but will not connect to it. I get an error

that say's that I don't have permission to access the PC.

The Vista pc has 2 hard drives, a 320g for the OS and programs

and a 500g for file backup ( pics music and the like).

I have gone over the sharing setting for drive D: many times,

have even looked at the firewall settings.

The only thing I can access from the Xp PC's is the public

folder on drive c: of the Vista PC.

Have gone over the help pages till blue in the face.

Recycle Bin icon

I deleted the Recycle Bin by mistake - and then emptied the Recycle Bin, loosing my icon.

I did find another one by going the Explorer. But for some reason or other it always shows that it is full (or something is in there) So I went to Properties and changed the icon. Now this icon always shows that it is empty.

How can I get a Recylce Bin icon that shows it is empty when it is empty and full when it is full?

Hard Drive Space

My Vista Hard Drive space seems to use more than the average space than my Xp machine.
The space used keeps increasing for no apparent reason.

Has anyone out there experienced a similar used space problem?

slow to bootup

Hi, I unchecked lots of stuff from the startup menu, its a little faster but it still takes about 60 seconds to bootup is this normal? also I tried to bypass the signing on I don't have to put a password in but I still have the icon, how can I just bootup and go strait to windows like I can in winxp, I'm trying to like vista but it such an annoying os.

Tired of Vista stalling on shutdown

So I have two Vista Home Premium boxes (toshiba laptops) both with 1 gig of memory...all updates have been performed, all is current....and most work fine....

Out of the clear blue they stall / stop working during shutdown.....no drive movement, sometimes just stops and locks up...requiring the infamous power down hard.

I don't like doing this....but it seems that is the only way to shut-r-down.

No it's not installing updates during this time...no drive movement, cpu's with little or no consumption...BUT I am running only 1-gig of memory...

I am thinking of upgrading to 2-gig to see if that helps....based on monitoring...seems to consume about 70% memory...

What can cause this system to fail to shut down... ???

I just got a new compaq computer with vista on it. When I first got it, it had a trial version of Office on it. I tried to uninstall the trial version and install office 2007. When I tried to install office 2007 it keeps telling me that the language is not supported by vista. My Office 2007 worked fine with my previous computer that had xp on it. Please help.

Vista Home Premium OEM Software usage

I recently bought my wife an HP DV6700 laptop with Home Premium factory installed. This is an AMD dual core with 2GB of ram and all the bloatware you can get. Her old Athlon XP was faster than this dual core by a wide margin; but it also ran XP Pro.

Can I buy an OEM Vista Home Premium DVD, then perform a clean install, loosing all the HP crap and activate with the notebook's product key? If so, I see no reason why I couldn't use the key that came with the Vista disk on my desktop.?.? Each computer would have an OEM product key unique to the computer its installed on.

The HP offers no way to make a "Windows" disk, just the recovery disks which still have all the crap that's slowing down everything. And by the way I've tried turning everything possible off via MSCONFIG & services. CPU is always 20%-40%, even at idle. Ram is 50% on average at idle also.

Any advice would be welcome,

Black screen appearing for 25 sec !

I`m not sure if I should post this thread in this board ...
But I hope you can help me,

everytime I try to enter a program that needs administration persmission a black screen appears for 10 sec then the pop up message asking me if I`d like to continue appears I click on continue and then another black screen appears for like 10 sec and then the notebook goes back to normal ...

Any idea how to fix it ? I never had it when I bought the notebook ...
