*I am using Vista Home Premium @ 32 bits...and a non-tecky, but a
frustrated user in-so-far as that my "d" drive is 99% full and I have no
way and no know-how to deal with this problem..Any suggestions from some
kind soul out there ? The computer flashes that the disk space on
RECOVERY "D" is almost full...*

You have a Dell, I presume. The Recovery D drive is a special drive that
Dell has set up on your PC to put your PC back into the 'Factory Delivered'
state, making it like the first time you booted it up.
'Recovery' might sound like you should back up files there, but you should
not write to that drive at all. Somehow, you are creating files on that
drive.
If you want to back up files to a drive other than 'C', I suggest an
external USB drive - they're pretty cheap and are very good for backup. You
can even set up Vista to automatically backup files on a regular schedule.

Thank you Uprider and if use the external USB drive to put the info from
the d drive on it can I then disgorge what is in the D dive so I don't
have to look at that reminder that keeps popping up all the time ?
