| Those of you that bought machines preloaded with Vista most probably did NOT get a Vista DVD as part of your purchase. This can be a real problem if you need to do a Vista repair.
While some machine vendors provide a hidden partition, along with a utility, for creating a Vista "restore" disk, the instructions linked below provide a location for downloading what you need to create your own Vista Repair Disk:
