I have a laptop. Dual boot with xp & vista. (vista in second partition D:\)

Problem:
Unable to boot into any admin account. When i login the system shows a blank screen.
Upon pressing ctrl+alt+del the taskmanager option is not avilable. This is for admin accounts only.
The standard users allow the use of taskmanager & i am able to run explorer.exe.

I checked the registry from standard user
In the shell entry of winlogon there is a additional statement D:\windows\system32\winsit.exe added.
Unable to remove this from standard user.

I deleted this file. Then i the admin user account it showed the Documents folder instead of blank screen.
I used UserAccounts to convert a standard user to admin and restarted the system. Same prob with that account
and the other one & blank screen came back on login.

Any more ideas?
