Yup, a seriously gay inovation by M$, I have a 20.1" monitor on 1600x1400, and they still are way to big. I suppose its for people who have poor hand - eye coordination to double click on icons :/

Try looking at a low res graphic as an icon - it gets so pixelated its rediculous!

Asus-SLI Deluxe, AMD x2 4400 (oc'd to 5000), x1900xtx (oc'd), 2GB Corsair XMS RAM 2-3-3-6 (4x512), 500GB Maxtor HDD w/ 32mb cache, 300GB Maxtor HDD w/ 16mb cache, Creative Audigy 4 (Daniel Driver Set), HVR-1100 Dvb-t hybrid TV card, 580W Hiper Type M PSU.

5.0 score on Vista Ultimate x64, 6040 3DMark 06' score on XP

I figured it out, right click on desktop, then on view, then click classic icons.

Hmm.

As someone said, this is one of the features of vista. you can have large to very large icon options to choose. you can select classic icons which shows you small icons.

if you still feel that its still a problem.. see if your hardware requremets are met for vista inatallation. also, turn off the aero feature and see if you are able to see them in normal size.

let me know if you still have an issue.. i am in process of digging things out.. i can help you..

This is a useful link if you wold like to reduce the size of the icons... enjoy

Yep, medium icons are now the best IMO.  The classic Icons are now too small in RTM.  I try not to let my desktop get too cluttered with folders and stuff but it still tends to happen.

You can choose whatever size you want, from 12 x 12 to 256 x 256. Click here for details on how.
